The White House is vociferously denying claims, reported in the New York Times, that former US Attorny General Alberto "Gone-zo" Gonzales signed two memos authorising the torture of detainees. And why would they need to torture anyway when they have access to perfectly acceptable enhanced interrogation techniques.
