He was just following orders

At 08:20 yesterday morning Admiral Lord West, the government's chief security minister said the following about plans to extend the period in which terror "suspects" can be held without charge beyond four weeks:"

I'm not convinced we need to hold terror suspects longer than 28 days."

At 09:05 yesterday morning Admiral Lord West said:

"Actually, I am convinced"

One can only assume that he received at least one obscene phone call in the intervening 25 minutes.
