In an undoubtedly failed effort to keep Royal Ascot the domain of old money and to exclude the chavs and chavettes a new dress code has been introduced this year. Amongst the rather stringent new rules it is noted that women must wear knickers but they must never been seen. So, one wonders, how are they going to enforce this?

Fred Barnes (why does he even have a job?) tells us that the "working class" are really the "lower class". Key quote:

Class war comes to Colorado
During debate on a guest worker bill in the Colorado state legislature Rep. Douglas Bruce (Do I Have to Tell You Which Party?) referred to Latin American farm labourers as "illiterate peasants". Ah for the good old days of feudalism. I can hardly wait for Rep. Bruce's efforts to re-introduce droit du seigneur!
