Another wedge in that "special relationship"

Tarek Dergoul is a British man who enjoyed a protracted residence at America's Guantánamo Bay Beach and Leisure Resort is to file suit against British intelligence services MI5 and MI6 in the British courts today alleging that he was tortured by Americans during his sojourn at that Caribbean beauty spot and then questioned by British intelligence. Mr. Dergoul is not seeking monetary damages but wants the High Court to rule that MI5/MI6 can no longer take advantage of the abuse of prisoners outside of the UK. Should the High Court rule in his favour it would be a de facto recognition by the British courts that the US is violating international law in Cuba and elsewhere.
