Satire isn't so much dead as just unnecessary. Hardball recently featured a discussion of Captain Codpiece's fascination with Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers films. When one of your own dévotées calls you a "goof ball" you know things are not in the ascendancy. Crooks and Liars has the video.
