Lack of insurance and your health

This, I think, is very important. A study to be published in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons unexpectedly shows that whilst race is not a factor in complications related to acute appendicitis the patent's insurance status is! Uninsured or publicly insured patients have an "increased likelihood of perforation, or rupture, of the appendix" when compared to those with private insurance. "Acute appendicitis has been studied widely as a gauge of effective and equitable health care".

Someone should point this out to someone don't you think?
