Much has been written of late about the potential impact of the sudden rush to "green" bio fuels. Amongst other things there are fears that it will lead to the clearance of even more tropical rain forest or that the diversion of grain to fill up America's Hummers will drive up global food prices (already happening) and people will starve to death or become malnourished. That is all bad enough but if the cost of my single malt is going to be driven up this all must stop here and now!
