You are what you wear

So think about what you are about to buy before you buy it. It isn't a human right to be able to purchase an entire wardrobe for 100 quid but it ought to be a human right to be paid a living wage. As High Street brands Primark, Mothercare and Marks & Sparks try to undo the damage done by recent revelations that factories in India that supply them are being paid 13p an hour and forced to work overtime or be sacked we need to realise that we, as Western consumers, have a material responsibility for what happens in factories in the "developing" world driven by our seeming insatiable desires for more and cheaper merchandise to feed our vapid lifestyles.

We can make a difference but only if we try. And only if the brands understand that we will not tolerate this behaviour.
