A Federal appeals court has upheld the death sentence of a California man ruling that the fact that the foreman of the jury quoted bible verses, from notes he brought from home, to justify the death penalty "had no substantial and injurious effect or influence". I wonder what the ruling would have been had he quoted the Koran or Mein Kampf.
