A provision added to the 2008 Farm Bill by a Democratic Congressman from Ohio would exempt small farmers from Federal inspection of their meat products and would allow state inspections to replace them even for interstate sales. After all there have been no events of late that the suggest that the American food chain is becoming less safe. Have there?
