The battle royal between Prime Minister "Brown" Gordon Brown and London Mayor "Red" Ken Livingstone over the Prime Minister's beloved private finance initiatives is getting more interesting as Transport for London has staked its claim to take over the Tube upgrade and maintenance contract from failed PFI contractor Metronet.
