Staffing levels fall to near 2% at Department of Justice

Yet another Bush political hack has resigned at the Department of Justice. Peter Keisler, head of the department's civil division, was responsible for, amongst other things, of reducing a government suit against tobacco companies from 130 million to 10 million USD. The attorney in the case promptly resigned alleging political interference in the case which, if true, would be absolutely unprecedented in this administration.
