Pakistani President Pervez "The General" Musharraf knows that when push comes to shove the United States will do exactly nothing to jeopardise his pro-Western (and anti-Pakistani) government so he is confident enough to ignore the rule of law and democracy by imposing martial law in anticipation of the country's Supreme Court invalidating his "re-election". After all what is good for America is all that matters and what is good for Pakistan, at least as perceived by the people of Pakistan, must play second fiddle.
