Second worst is just not bad enough

Latvia has edged out the United States in the race to the hotly contested trophy for worst infant mortality rate in the industrialised world. If an illustrious personage such as indicted fraudster Tom Delay tells us that no one goes without health care in America's magical market based system then there must be other factors at work.

If we work at it hard enough we can do even worse next year!
