The Bush administration is trying to rationalise its way around the use of waterboarding, at this point it would seem to immunise both American agents and the President himself from prosecution for crimes against humanity, but say that they are "proud" of the use of the technique would be to overstep the mark.
There is at least one person though who thinks that "[w]aterboarding is something of which every American should be proud". It is hard to imagine any statement more vile or objectionable although I am sure that, with time and appropriate lack of medication, Mr. Murdock will somehow manage to surpass even this!
