One thing almost all of the Democrat presidential hopefuls have wrong is that their plans for healthcare include the insurance industry at the centre, essentially using taxpayer funds to subsidise the private sector. This story from the LA Times graphically illustrates why they do not deserve a place at the table. They add no value. They add only cost and complexity. They have to go.
