Why do the (remaining) polar bears hate America?

Those deep thinkers at the Heritage Society think that if polar bears are listed as endangered species, should the EPA ever get around to acting on this of course, it will harm the American economy (but keep Americans from getting their hands on the oil and natural gas in Alaska) and therefore the bears must die. One can only be impressed by their clear and concise thinking. I can only assume that they believe this would be legal under the "national security" provision of the Endangered Species Act because if there was ever a national security issue it is the right of Americans to have ridiculously cheap energy in order to support their profligate lifestyle (and to fill up the Hummers).
