US Marine Lt. Col. V. Stuart Couch, a former prosecutor at the Guantánamo Bay Beach and Leisure Club has been barred his superiors from testifying before Congress about his belief that a resident at the holiday camp had been tortured. Col. Couch dropped a prosecution during his tenure at Gitmo because he believed that the defendant had been beaten and that his life and the life of his mother had been threatened.
