Some people seem to think that we're running out of dirt. All kidding aside the loss of more and more top soil it going to make it difficult, if not impossible, to feed the nine billion people we're going to have in around forty years (not to mention growing what we need to keep America's Hummers humming with bio-fuel). Extreme weather, both too much and too little rain, is only going to exacerbate the problem.
