At least we know the exchange rate now

At a memorial service for the Jewish students who were murdered in Jerusalem last month Rabbi Yaakov Shapira, head of the yeshiva where they were killed, said that "the life of one yeshiva boy is worth more than the lives of 1,000 Arabs". Now I am not trying to lessen the tragedy or excuse the killing of these young men but can you imagine the uproar and condemnation that would follow if these same remarks had been spoken by a Muslim cleric and the ratio reversed? Exactly and yet in this case the silence is deafening!

As long as remarks such as these are accepted, from either side, there is no chance for peace. Perhaps that is what he wishes.
