Read this book!

A little taster from The Violence of God and the War on Terror by Jeremy Young who is a Church of England priest and family counselor:

"The American reaction to 9/11 is, we may conclude, a multi-faceted defence of its own exalted view of itself based on the myth of America, which, in essence, identifies the United States with the promise of divine redemption in the Jewish and Christian religions. In light of this analysis, the war on terror is most definitely a war of religion, even if the 'religion' being 'defended' by the ware is a secularised Christian heresy whose adherents do not consciously acknowledge that the God they worship is not the God of Israel or the Holy Trinity of the Christian faith, but America itself."
