Finally George Bush has let slip out what the war in Iraq has been about all along; OIL! I assume that this comes as no surprise to most people. At an election rally in Colorado Bush said "you can imagine a world in which these extremists and radicals got control of energy resources". The White House was swift to point out that this didn't represent a new position with spokesman Tony Fratto (Tony Snow must get the weekends off") saying; "we're still not saying we went into Iraq for oil. That's not true."
I'm glad he clarified the point, aren't you?
When you next stop at petrol station to fill up your SUV or your MPV or just your big-as-fuck motor please take a moment to think about the mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, children, brothers, sisters and friend of every soldier and civilian who has died, been maimed or crippled or wounded to ensure your fuel supply. Try to imagine how you would explain to them that the life of their loved one was worth it!
