I should like to thank Dr. Charles Nestor of the National Clergy Council for clearing up my obvious confusion over the accusations swirled about related to the sexual proclivities of the right Reverend Ted Haggard. My thinking was that should someone, who has been as publicly opposed to the "homosexual agenda" as Rev. Haggard has been, actually turn out to be homosexual or bisexual himself then charges of hypocrisy would not go awry.
And there I would be wrong according to Dr. Nestor. I now know that, even if he were guilty of these heinous accusations, Rev. Haggard would not be a hypocrite. In order to be a hypocrite one has to play a role and even if the Rev. Haggard were guilty, and they are not admitting that he is, he must have sincerely believed that he was not homosexual despite the evidence of his night time activities.
Thank you Dr. Nestor!
