So far I give new British Prime Minister Gordon Brown high marks. His cabinet is fairly inclusive and a breath of fresh air. He hasn't done a Tony Blair and taken advantage of the recent abortive terrorist incidents in the UK to hog the limelight and spout meaningless rhetoric. He has also put forward a number of constitutional changes most of which are for the most part admirable: war powers to parliament - good (but four years too late unfortunately); changes to powers of the Attorney General to remove him or her from the decision process regarding charges against members of the government - good; edging the Church of England out of the way - good but not far enough; lowering the voting age to 16 - not such a good idea.
Still all in all he's doing alright in my book.
