Time bomb

Ever increasing numbers of American parents are using religious exemptions to allow their children to attend school without getting the required vaccinations, often by lying about their religious beliefs. These parents, driven by unscientific scare stories in the media about the effects of various jabs, believe they are acting in the best interests of their children but if the trend continues the country will undoubtedly face significant outbreaks of dangerous and preventable childhood diseases in the not to distant future. I wonder if insurance companies will treat these "elective illnesses" the same as they treat pre-existing conditions and not cover the costs of treatment.
