I generally don't have much good to say about Britain's upper house but I think even libertarians will agree with me that it is an appropriate role of government to ensure that budget airlines provide adequate leg room for passengers and the Lords is trying to use its powers to do just that!

Strange. Given the unremitting efforts of the Commons to turn this island into Airstrip One, I have nothing but praise for the upper House. It's the only thing saving what's left of democracy in Britain.
