Mildred Loving - 1940 - 2008. Mrs. Loving, a black woman from Virginia, started us down this slippery slope at the bottom of which is the wrect of "traditional marriage". How did Mrs. Loving accomplish this? She married a white man; an act for which she was arrested, convicted and banished (BANISHED!!) from Virginia.
