Welcome to the United States where its status as a fully developed nation is in doubt as its rank amongst OECD nations as regards longevity plummets from 11th to 42nd over the past two decades. There are certainly many contributing factors: increased disparity between rich and poor, worsening diet especially amongst the poor and working class, increasing obesity, declining infant mortality and lack of access to affordable healthcare for the poor and working class. Nothing that can't be overcome by it might take another two decades, or more, to reverse the damage as other nations continue to improve.
