And it's not just George Clooney and Brad Pitt; William Shatner is at it too! I reckon with a writer's strike and all one has to go for the low hanging fruit.

Why does Hollywood hate a not-now-and-never-has-been-gay Idahoan
And it's not just George Clooney and Brad Pitt; William Shatner is at it too! I reckon with a writer's strike and all one has to go for the low hanging fruit.

He's off
Idaho's most famous Senator Larry "Not Now and Never Have Been Gay" Craig is off to Bali to see what he can do to forget his troubles along with the identity of every man he has never had sex with. He has no plans to attempt to do anything positive as regards climate change.
I wonder if the Mrs. is traveling with him.

Oh Larry - we are so disappointed in you
It seems that it might be harder than we think for (not-quite-ex-)Senator Larry Craig (Maybe Not Gay - ID) to become the first Republican to become an ex-Gay without ever being gay. What must the Mrs. think about all this?

No foot tapping involved
The unemployment rate in the Republican Party (motto - "You Won't Believe How Enormous Our Closet Is") has gone up by one with the resignation of Florida State Representative Bob Allen after his "I was afraid of the big, scary Black man" defence failed in trial for offering to provide a richly deserved blow job to an undercover cop in a public toilet and to pay the office twenty bucks for the pleasure.
Now back to our coverage of family values.

Schadenfreude alert
It's seems that his (totally understandable) fears of the big black man were insufficient to keep Republican Florida State Representative Bob Allen from from being found guilty of soliciting (homosexual) sex in a public toilet.

Become a Republican - they've got a really big closet!
Here we go again. What the hell is it with these guys anyway?

This isn't legal is it?
Disgraced Senator and patron saint of cottaging Larry Craig (Still Not Gay Damn It! - ID) has been using funds raised for his campaign to pay his legal bills associated with that incident (that shall not be described again) in the gent's at Minneapolis airport.
Even if it is not illegal it is certainly unethical.

What is going to piss off his base more?
This is an interesting question if you are Senator David Vitter (R - LA). It could be that his most loyal white Christian voters will be concerned that he is paying for sex all across the country or that he has cancelled his earmark for "creationist" education in schools. This could go either way folks.

"Ever seen a grown man anked?"
Carefully avoided any statements that could seem to point towards his adoptions of an alternate sexual lifestyle Senator Larry Craig (Not-now-and-never-have-been-gay ID) has said that he was a victim of "gladiator politics". Jesus Larry. You also said in the interview that not hiring a lawyer was a "big mistake". Maybe you should hire a PR guy as well.

Some marital advice for Senator Craig
Now I wasn't the world's greatest husband and my marriage didn't exactly work out but I do know some of the things one shouldn't do if one wants one's marriage to last.
The first thing you shouldn't do is keep bad news from your spouse.
I'm sure you will find this mentioned somewhere in your Family Values Handbook.

It suppose it all depends on what the meaning of "solicitation of homosexual sex" is
Idaho Senator Larry "Not-Now-and-Never-Have-Been-Gay-but-Could-Become-Gay-In-the-Future" Craig is to appeal the denial of his retraction of his guilty plea or something very similar.
His confidence is undoubtedly high after he was awarded the coveted Golden Russet at the Idaho Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Another one bites the dust
Isn't it about time that the Republican Party developed some sort of test so that they could weed out candidates who are stupid enough to believe that cruising for gay sex in public toilets during the campaign is a wise idea. There was foot tapping involved but no details on the width of the man's stance.
Joey DiFatta (Incredibly stupid - LA) has cited "health concerns" as the reason for his precipitous withdrawal from a state Senate race.

Who knew...
...that Idaho even had a Hall of Fame? Will he have his own cubicle and will it be wide enough to handle his stance?
05 October 2007
Once one takes a wide stance one must stick with it
Oh goody! We are going to have Senator Larry (Still Not Gay - ID) Craig to kick around for the foreseeable future. He is going to (attempt to) stay until the end of his term even though a judge has ruled that he cannot withdraw his guilty plea over the incident in the Larry Craig Memorial Men's Room and Cottaging Lounge at Minneapolis Airport.
The text of his statement, in which he expresses his extreme disappointmentwith his failure to hook up at the airport in the ruling and vows to finish his term may be found here. A torturous timeline of related and contradictory quotes may be found here.

In which I prove I am fair and balanced...
...by pointing out that the Democratic Party also has a problem with closeted gay legislators and pages; even if not to as great an extent as that other party does.
"You've been a very naughty boy"
Alabama judge Herman Thomas, once considered for a federal judgeship by President Clinton, has resigned from the bench. Mr. Thomas was facing up to 30 ethics charges that, amongst more mundane corruption charges, included allegations that he "routinely checked young male inmates out of the Mobile County Metro Jail, taken them to an office at the courthouse at Government Plaza and spanked some of them with a paddle". Some of the corruption charges, those brought by the Judiciary Inquiry Commission, will probably be dropped as the most severe penalty provided are removal from office.
