George Bush's favourite conservative enemy and cheese eating surrender monkey, le President de France, Jacques Chirac, has announced that he intends to retire from politics after forty five years at the end of his term. In doing so he has neglected to endorse his party's candidate to replace him, Nicolas Sarkozy, which probably just means he rather fancies Ségolène Royal.
