An armed office is a safe office (as long as you're alone and not suicidal)

Remember when you were little and your father's workplace had a "Take Your Kid to Work Day"? (I don't actually but I knew kids whose fathers did have them.)

Well the great state of Utah wants to go one better. They want to make every day "Take Your Guns to Work Day"!

The stupidest quote justification award goes to State Sen. Mark Madsen who is unsurprisingly a member of the Republic Party. He said:

"What happens if they (a gun owner) have employers that have policies that ban guns in the parking lot? That impacts employees beyond the workplace. It impacts them after work when the want to get a bite to eat at a Trolley Square."

How exactly does not being allowed to take your AK47 to work impact on your ability to have a meal out afterwards? There are two clear choices other than not going at all.

Choice 1: Go to Trolley Square without being armed. It seems like a reasonably non-threatening place as long as there aren't people with guns there! This is the choice of reasonably sane human beings.

Choice 2: Drive your hummer all the way home, get your AK47, put on your camouflage outfit and drive back to Trolley Square for a bite to eat. Don't forget to take your medication whilst you're at home. This would seem to be the preferred choice of Sen. Madsen.
