The New York Times has got its hands on a leaked draft copy of the long overdue United States Climate Action Report. The US administration report indicates that greenhouse gas emissions will continue to grow at a significant rate until at least 2012. This is not surprising news as virtually nothing has been done to address the issue.
The draft report, which, in April 2005, the State Department promised would be released in summer 2005, also highlights many of the significant effects of human driven climate change. Not the least of these issues is that water supplies throughout the west are at significant risk as well as the danger of severe periods of drought.
It’s a good thing that the Decider (TM) has decided that this is an issue and has decided that he will eventually decide to save us!
