Huis clos

plan (n.) - a series of steps to be carried out or goals to be accomplished

When a bunch of governors had a sit down with the Decider (TM) and some of his minions last week one of the state officials asked the administration folks what the backup plan for Iraq was. Guess what? There isn't one!

According to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Peter Pace:

"I'm a Marine and Marines don't talk about failure. They talk about victory."

Alright. Maybe Gen. Pace has a valid excuse but his argument doesn't work for Dubya. He was, after all, an AWOL Navy Reserve pilot and, while I don't know what they do indeed talk about, I'm certain it ain't victory!
