Rules are a fluid thing

Following the conviction of I. "Scooter" Libby for perjury the US Justice Department has revealed a renewed zeal to keep the identity of CIA operatives secret. Prosecutors in the case of José Padilla want to allow a CIA agent to testify in disguise and to use an alias.

Unless, of course, the agent's spouse happens to say something that contradicts the truth as espoused by "The Proposer(TM)", née "The Decider(TM), in which case all bets are off.
