Yesterday British Attorney General and friend to the Blair, Lord Goldsmith, obtained an injunction that prevented the BBC from broadcasting a story related to the lolly-for-Lordships inquiry. Whether we should believe him when he says that he did this at the behest of the police service who indicated that release of the story would harm their investigation or in order to spare Big Tone further embarrassment we will probably never know. This would then make this situation similar to mystery that surrounds his advice relative to the invasion of Iraq or his decision to halt the investigation into alleged corrupt practices at BAE Systems.
