Senator Charles Schumer (D - NY) has urged Attorney General and Bush toady Alberto Gonzales to resign for the "sake of the nation". Speaking on Face the Nation he accused the AG of overly politicising the Justice Department and failing to meet the "higher obligation to the rule of law and the Constitution" required of the nation's highest legal official.
