Even when I lived in the states I couldn't understand the American fascination with Benny Hill. I only ever found him funny if I was very, very stoned. When I am very, very stoned I also find funerals and vegetables funny so that's probably not an encouraging sign for Mr. Hill's estate. Nonetheless I think that BBC America might get more than they expect once the public realises that they are dropping the Benny Hill Show from their schedule.
