Your recent statement that displaying the Confederate flag is a states' rights issues, while perhaps technically correct, missing the point that the flag is symbolic of hate, racism and injustice to a large segment of the American population and therefore is to be condemned. Would you make the same argument if Mississippi chose to display a Nazi flag for instance? Why wouldn't that equally be an issue of states' rights?
