Congressional Democrats, seemingly keen to be seen as "doing something" on Iran, look set to pass a draconian expansion of America's unilateral sanctions that will put extreme pressure on companies from the EU to sever their, quite legal and legitimate ties, with Iran. The law, if passed and signed, is certain to bring protest from the EU and is probably in violation of World Trade Organisation rules but what the fuck; rules are for wimps!
