The US Veterans Administration has been ordered by an "indignant" Federal court to continue paying disability benefits to hundreds of Vietnam veterans who are suffering from a type of leukemia that has been linked to exposure to Agent Orange which was extensively used in chemical weapons during the war in southeast Asia. For some reason the VA thought it should only have to pay the benefit from the point at which the link between the toxic chemical and the cancer had been discovered not from when they became ill!
