It looks like a deal has been reached that will allow New York's Mayor Bloomberg to proceed with a congestion charge for Manhattan after a deal of sorts was worked out in Albany yesterday.
At this point I wish to remind the employees and other staff at the British consulate in NY that they must not pay the charge when it is brought into effect as it is clearly a tax from which you are exempt.
