Threat level forecast

The declassified American National Intelligence Estimate is due out next week and the Associated Press has managed to get their hands on a copy in advance. I think this means that there was a leak. The experts expect that terrorist organisations, including al Qaeda, will leverage their success in Iraq and launch an attack within the US. After the official release next week it is expected that the White House will "fine tune" the predictions by saying that the threat level will probably bounce up and down a bit before seeing a gradual build up in fear starting somewhere around the time of next year's political conventions and reaching a peak in early November of 2008 before dropping dramatically if a Republican is elected to the Presidency.
