Radical left wing house organ US News & World Report has released its annual analysis of America's best hospitals. They reviewed data on 5,462 medical centers and only 173 of these made it into the ranks and only 18 were awarded honour roll status. Of these 44% were operated by private universities, 22% were operated by state run universities, 33% were operated by non profit trusts and 0% were operated by for profit private sector corporations.
How can this be? Everyone knows that concerns that are run for profit always provide superior results to any other type of organisation. I mean if one is not going to make money what is the point of working hard, am I right?
I would suggest that US News & World Report go back and revisit the parameters of their analysis. I am almost certain that they willfully forgot to include shareholder value.
