Barnacles would seem to be cursed with a rather restrictive sex life, what with being stuck in one place for life but if one thought that one couldn't be more wrong! It turns out that the talented male barnacle, which has a penis up to eight times it body length (see photo below), can also change both the size and shape of the organ should a female barnacle be looking for something a bit different.
