Buried in his inane remarks the other day on the recession that the United States most definitely not in he seemed to blame India and China for the rising costs of food and it has been noticed. There was, of course, no acceptance of the fact that America's profligate per capita consumption of grain for food, for animal feed and to fill the Hummer has to bear much of the blame. But perhaps more importantly it exposed his belief, and he is certainly not alone in this amongst my countrymen, that whilst those countries in the emerging world may aspire to an American life lifestyle they are not entitled to actually have one if it endangers our God given, rich deserved and certainly earned profligacy. One of these days, and it may be soon, there will be Hell to pay.
