Dumbing down

For years the US State Department has used a rigorous examination process as the primary means to select candidates for the Foreign Service. Among other things this has led to a level of professionalism that is probably unequalled in any other American governmental organisation.

That's all about to change. The new system would utilise "resumes [CVs}, references and intangibles such as "team-building skills".

The Republicons wouldn't be trying to politicise the Foreign Service would they?

Just a thought. Do you reckon cheerleading is anything like team building?
