The US Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal by a Utah polygamist (any relation to Milt Romney?) on the basis of the court's 2003 gay rights ruling in Lawrence v. Texas. In his dissent in that case Justice Adolph Scalia argued that the majority opinion in Lawrence v. Texas would lead to successful challenges against laws forbidding polygamy, bestiality et al.
