A Texas lawmaker has caused an exhibition of artwork relating to capital punishment from the Capitol building. According Borris Miles:
"I was shocked. It was appalling...I'm not an art critic or an art hater, but I can't think of any circumstance where hanging this type of art would be appropriate. It's offensive...It has no place at the Capitol."
Well Borris perhaps it is but it is not so offensive or shocking as hanging, electrocution, gas chambers, firing squads or lethal injection. Ring me when you move capital punishment out of Austin will you?
