The US authorities did not cooperate with the coroner's inquest into the deaths of British soldiers, in Iraq, at the hands of American troops. The killings were ruled unlawful without American testimony or other information.
The US also did not cooperate with the coroner's inquest into the killing of ITN reporter Terry Lloyd at the hands of American troops. ITN has now gained access to the names of the US Marines involved, which the Americans refused to provide, and publicly released them. I can only assume that Tony Blair is about to receive a blistering phone call from some one in Washington. Before the Yanks get too upset they should know that the names were provided to ITN by a source within the US Marines.
