I am certain that I am not only one who is reminded of a weasel every time I see US Attorney and Bush succubus Alberto Gonzales, Yesterday he leapt to his own defence in the sacking of eight US Attorneys by admitting that he had made some mistakes whilst at the same time steadfastly refusing to resign. In a pale imitation of Richard Nixon's "I am responsible but not to blame" ploy he placed the blame squarely when it should belong; on the shoulders of his assistant Kyle Sampson who has already "resigned".
Based on the bits of his press conference I have seen I suspect that he is not long for the world of government. I reckon he will have to put his tail between his legs and shuffle off to the world of corporate litigation where he will have to live on his shame and a seven figure stipend.
